  • You are right. I think her mom is still alive. So wouldn't that mean her prayers were answered? God is not a short order cook. We can't put our order in and the gripe because the eggs were runny. All we can ask God for is guidance for the future, strength for the present and wisdom for the future.

  • Well, first of a school isn't a government institution, so separation of church and state shouldn't apply. The church and state part of the constitution says that we will not have a state relgion. We won't all have to be Catholic or Anglican. WE can choose.

  • It's high fructose corn syrup. It changes the chemicals in your brain that are supposed to activate that 'full' feeling. In fact it turns them off so you are always left feeling hungry. If you ate nothing but healthy food you find that you eat more rather than less.

  • I remember my 1st birthday. I got a blow up pool and my mom let me play with the little candle holders. I can still smell the cake and the frosting! I remember standing by her legs while she was at the stove. I asked her for the candle holders.

  • The movie is not racist, at least not more than Gone With The Wind where Scarlett beats Prissy and threatens to sell her South! Even that is not racist, it's factual. Some slave owners were pretty awful, but not all were hateful. The author of the article has clearly never seen the film.
